Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims to private payers and government programs
- Manage accounts receivable through follow-up and resolution of claim denials
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage before service delivery
- Reconcile billing statements with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Train staff on billing compliance and documentation standards
- Collaborate with collections team for overdue account resolution
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR/billing software
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Experience with CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms
- Ability to meet monthly billing KPIs and deadlines
