Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy within 24-hour turnaround
- Reconcile patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies using Epic EHR systems
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients regarding payment issues
- Generate monthly billing reports for finance department analysis
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation and processes
- Train new staff on billing protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR and medical billing software
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with high-volume accounts
