Responsibilities
- Manage and process a high volume of invoices and billing transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies, identify errors, and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Communicate professionally with insurance carriers and patients to clarify billing questions and expedite payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a daily and monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation for audits.
- Assist in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or accounts receivable.
- Proficient in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
