Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile medical insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Manage patient billing inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
- Optimize billing workflows to reduce outstanding accounts receivable
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to meet strict billing deadlines
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field
