Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries
- Generate monthly revenue reports for executive review
- Collaborate with coding teams to ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials by 15%
- Train new billing staff on proprietary RCM software
- Conduct quarterly audits of billing documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in Epic Resolute or NextGen billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding conventions
- Proven track record of reducing A/R days below 45
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
- Experience with Michigan Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
