Responsibilities
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing accurately and efficiently.
- Greet members warmly and provide superior customer service to resolve inquiries and resolve issues.
- Cash checks and verify identification in strict compliance with security regulations.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions with the banking system to ensure accuracy.
- Open new accounts and assist members with understanding various banking products and services.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to help members achieve their financial goals.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and secure teller line area.
- Handle cash and non-cash transactions with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in finance, accounting, or business is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of cash handling or customer service experience in a retail or banking environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and POS software is a plus.
- Must be bondable and pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
