Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and fund transfers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries regarding account balances, products, and services.
- Assist in cross-selling bank products, such as credit cards and personal loans, to meet branch goals.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the security and organization of the teller line and lobby areas.
- Identify and escalate potential risks or fraud indicators to branch management.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the branch, including ATM maintenance and vault management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or Cashier is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform mental calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and a credit check as per banking regulations.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
