Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Provide superior customer service by greeting clients, answering inquiries, and resolving account issues with professionalism.
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities to promote our suite of financial products, including savings accounts, credit cards, and loans.
- Maintain accurate daily cash balances and reconcile the teller drawer at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to strict security protocols and compliance regulations (e.g., BSA/AML) to ensure the safety of bank assets.
- Assist in opening new accounts and completing required Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation.
- Utilize banking software and ATMs to support branch operations and customer needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; prior experience in a banking or retail environment is highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer engagement and relationship building.
- Proven ability to handle cash and perform mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with basic banking software and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet branch needs.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills are essential.
- Must pass a background check and obtain necessary banking licenses.
