Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and services, and resolve issues with a positive attitude.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing while maintaining strict cash balance integrity.
- Sales & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to recommend and sell our bank’s products and services, such as savings accounts or credit cards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date transaction records and logs in the bank's systems.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations, security procedures, and Know Your Customer (KYC) laws to prevent fraud.
- Operations Support: Assist in daily branch operations, including opening and closing the vault, and processing night deposits.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Bank Teller, Customer Service Representative, or in a cash-handling role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to count cash quickly and accurately.
- Software: Proficiency in using computerized banking systems and POS terminals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Regulatory: Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary banking certifications (e.g., Teller Certification).
