The Role:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial transactions, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Process and code high-volume invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update the vendor master file and address database.
- Prepare monthly accruals and assist with the month-end close process.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding billing inquiries.
- Perform regular audits of the AP ledger to prevent errors and fraud.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
