Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies or vendor queries promptly.
- Prepare and issue payments via check, electronic transfer, or ACH in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate records of accounts payable aging.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Maintain and update the AP database and vendor information in the ERP system.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
