Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including data entry, coding, and payment processing.
- Assist with the month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable within the UK financial sector.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent relevant experience).
