Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and process invoices for payment according to vendor terms and internal approval workflows.
- Data Entry: Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger with precision, ensuring all data is entered correctly into our ERP system.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding billing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and answering questions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable statements and bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Record Keeping: Organize and file invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience for this entry-level role.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero is a strong plus).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time (40 hours) with occasional evening or weekend availability during month-end close.
