Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 50+ employees
- Conduct variance analysis and budget forecasting for operational departments
- Coordinate annual audits and maintain financial documentation systems
- Develop process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Support management with ad-hoc financial modeling and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep understanding of Illinois tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Proven ability to manage month-end close processes independently
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical reasoning skills
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
