Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and external audits.
- Process accounts payable and receivable with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the finance department in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- CPA certification is a significant plus.
