Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor budget variances and improve financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
