NM Financial Services Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance department, specializing in weekend operations. Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger entries for weekend transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries to reflect current financial activities accurately.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all weekend-related accounts are closed on time.
- Review, verify, and process accounts payable and receivable invoices.
- Generate financial reports, including trial balances and variance analyses, for management review.
- Assist external auditors with weekend schedules and documentation requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
