Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls, budgeting processes, and financial forecasting.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high attention to detail.
