Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are recorded timely and accurately.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support management decision-making.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card account reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax filings, ensuring full compliance with Washington state regulations.
- Conduct monthly close procedures, ensuring all accruals and adjustments are processed correctly.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Assist with external audits and internal control reviews as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Washington tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
