Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Handle payroll processing and tax compliance for small to mid-sized businesses
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Online/Pro)
- Conduct periodic internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- CPA or QuickBooks certification preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing multi-client portfolios
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
