Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee daily accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and expense tracking to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and tax documentation as required.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and speed of accounting operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to analyze data, spot errors, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
