Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Process weekly payroll and ensure all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and quarterly tax filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and financial risks.
- Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle high volumes of data accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
