Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals on a daily basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is a significant plus.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
