Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and track receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance & Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze budget variances and provide insights to management to drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: 2+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Certification: CPA certification is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality data integrity.
