Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment execution, and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and support external audits to ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the finance team to budget for future expenses and monitor actual spending against the budget.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- CPA certification or eligible to sit for the CPA exam is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
