Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and ensure timely submission of documentation
- Implement and improve internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
- Provide support for tax filings and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Illinois residency required for immediate in-office work
