Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and returns.
- Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Assist in the budget preparation process and monitor variances to ensure financial goals are met.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial records are up to date and secure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
