Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP
- Lead budgeting processes and provide variance analysis to senior leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems
- Collaborate with tax advisors for compliance and strategic planning
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in senior accounting role within UK finance sector
- Expertise in UK tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
