Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently to ensure timely vendor payments and customer invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings as required.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and assist in the annual budgeting process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not required.
