Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local business reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate deductions and remittances.
- Maintain a clean and organized filing system for all financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
