Responsibilities
- Manage Weekend Accounting Operations: Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledgers.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly financial reports and variance analysis to assist management in decision-making.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in the preparation of trial balances and month-end financial close processes.
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll for the weekend workforce, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Vendor & Client Communication: Liaise with external vendors and internal clients regarding billing inquiries and payments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work a consistent weekend shift (Saturday/Sunday or Friday/Saturday).
- Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
