Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements to assess the risk profile of potential borrowers.
- Calculate credit scores and determine appropriate credit limits based on established guidelines.
- Monitor existing accounts for early warning signs of default and recommend remedial actions.
- Collaborate with the loan origination team to ensure accurate data entry and documentation.
- Maintain and update the internal credit database with the most current borrower information.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management regarding portfolio health and risk trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong understanding of credit risk models and underwriting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
