Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices accurately and on time.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and fixed asset schedules.
- Perform payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis as required.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry and reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
