Your Mission:
As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial accuracy. You will handle the end-of-week close procedures, ensuring our clients' books are perfectly balanced before the new week begins.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive daily and weekly bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for selected clients on the weekend.
- Prepare and post adjusting entries, depreciation, and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliable transportation for occasional in-office meetings (optional).
