Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and strong Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
