Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a stable organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing with federal and state authorities.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
