Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and post necessary journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing and preparation of tax documents (W-2s/1099s).
- Generate balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for all financial documents.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or Finance Assistant (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
