Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card statements weekly.
- Post journal entries to the general ledger and ensure all weekend transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting as needed.
- Reconcile payroll records and prepare necessary adjustments for the upcoming week.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries during the weekend.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is mandatory.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
