Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and payments are sent on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a weekly basis to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Assist with the preparation of weekly payroll reports and ensure all timesheets are verified and processed correctly.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) to manage financial data and generate necessary reports.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and account status updates.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks; Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are mandatory.
- Remote Work: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors, spot discrepancies, and maintain high data integrity.
