Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Sage software
- Process weekend payroll and employee expense reimbursements
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements weekly
- Prepare VAT returns and support quarterly tax submissions
- Generate monthly profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with strict attention to deadlines
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Implement financial controls to prevent discrepancies
Qualifications
- Proven bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- AAT Level 3/4 qualification or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
