We are looking for a reliable and analytical Weekend Accountant to join our growing finance department in Memphis, TN. Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly and annual closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP standards and company policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for executive review.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all deadlines are met on weekends.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audit schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and perform variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or weekend capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a consistent basis.
