Responsibilities
- Manage the Weekend Financial Close: Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial statements by Sunday evening.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure all billing is accurate and timely during the weekend shift.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the compilation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for upper management review.
- Payroll Support: Verify and process payroll data for the upcoming week to ensure staff are paid accurately on time.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
