Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, specifically for the weekend cycle.
- Process weekly payroll and tax filings with a high degree of accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance analysis reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and tax documentation.
- Review and verify invoices, receipts, and bank statements to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Communicate financial discrepancies to the Senior Accountant promptly.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
