Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Weekend Accountant to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. We are looking for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver precision during weekend shifts.
In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring accurate reporting for our clients. You will work closely with our senior staff to close monthly accounts and process financial transactions over the weekend.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive weekly bank reconciliations and general ledger audits.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly financial statements and variance analysis reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Maintain and organize financial records, digital and physical, for easy retrieval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
