The Role:
As our Weekend Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of our operations during off-hours. You will work closely with our Finance Director to close the books, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Process weekly payroll entries and ensure accuracy for weekend shifts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Review and approve invoices for weekend operational expenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday.
