Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and weekly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for review by management.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger system, posting journal entries and resolving discrepancies.
- Payroll Oversight: Assist in the preparation and verification of payroll data for the weekend workforce.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial processes comply with GAAP and internal company policies; support external audits as needed.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports, verifying adherence to company budgets and policies.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
