Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with management to forecast budgets and improve financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
