As a Weekend Accountant, you will manage financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger activities during our critical weekend shift. We pride ourselves on our culture of excellence and are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Collaborate with the week-day finance team to resolve discrepancies and provide weekend reporting support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred; direct experience with weekend shifts is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
