Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and maintain the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and file necessary regulatory documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
