We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team in Oakland, CA. Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Process payroll and manage payroll tax filings.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and fixed asset schedules.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and process vendor invoices.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or CPA firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
